Caring for a Koi Galaxy Betta requires attention to a few specific needs, but it’s relatively easy to maintain once you understand their requirements. These Betta fish are unique due to their beautiful color patterns, resembling koi fish, and they share many of the same care needs as traditional Betta fish. Here are some tips:

1. Tank Size

• Minimum Size: A tank of at least 5 gallons (20 liters) is recommended. Bettas need space to swim and feel comfortable, and a larger tank helps maintain stable water conditions.
• Filtration: A filter is important to keep the water clean, but make sure the water flow is gentle because Bettas don’t like strong currents.

2. Water Conditions

• Temperature: Betta fish thrive in warm water, ideally between 75°F to 80°F (24°C to 27°C). Use an aquarium heater to maintain a stable temperature.
• pH Level: They prefer slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH of 6.5 to 7.5.
• Water Hardness: Bettas are best kept in soft to medium-hard water, ideally 4–8 dGH.
• Water Changes: Perform regular water changes, about 25% every week, to ensure the water remains clean and free from toxins like ammonia and nitrate.

3. Feeding

• Diet: Koi Galaxy Bettas are carnivorous and should be fed a balanced diet of high-quality Betta pellets or flakes, as well as occasional live or frozen foods like bloodworms, daphnia, or brine shrimp.
• Feeding Frequency: Feed them once or twice a day, ensuring they only eat what they can consume within 2–3 minutes to avoid overfeeding and water pollution.
