Multi Colors Bettas, like other Betta fish, are beautiful and relatively easy to care for, but they do have specific needs to keep them healthy and thriving. Here’s a guide on how to care for your Multi Colors Betta:

1. Tank Setup

• Size: A tank of at least 5 gallons is recommended for a Betta, though larger is always better. They need space to swim and explore.
• Water temperature: Betta fish are tropical, so keep the water temperature between 76°F - 80°F (24°C - 27°C). Use a submersible heater to maintain the proper temperature.
• Water conditions:
  • pH: Aim for a slightly acidic to neutral pH, between 6.5 and 7.5.
  • Ammonia and Nitrite: Should be at 0 ppm (parts per million). Nitrate should be under 20 ppm.
  • Water changes: Perform 25-30% water changes weekly to maintain water quality. More frequent changes might be necessary for smaller tanks.

2. Filtration

Bettas can tolerate low water flow, so choose a filter designed for small fish or one with adjustable flow. Gentle filtration helps keep the water clean without stressing your Betta with strong currents.

3. Decor and Environment

• Plants and hiding spots: Bettas like to have plants and caves where they can hide. Live plants like Java Fern, Anubias, and Moss Balls are great for natural decoration. Bettas often rest on plant leaves or hide in caves.
• Avoid sharp decorations: Betta fish have long, delicate fins. Avoid decorations with sharp edges that could tear their fins.
